Boys Varsity Volleyball · Boys Volleyball remains unbeaten with impressive comeback win over Rincon

Boys Varsity Volleyball pushed their record to 4-0 with an impressive comeback win over perennial volleyball power Rincon on Wednesday night.

Our Eagles dropped the first two sets 25-16 and 26-24 before pulling out close wins in sets three (26-24) and four (29-27). In the pivotal fifth set, ALA was in control from the start as outside hitters Josh Davis and Zach Brown took over. Davis hit a ridiculous .516 for the match with 19 kills. Brown had 23 kills and hit .413.

Brandon Pauole was impressive running a 5-1 offense and finding the hot hand. Mason Andersen had some timely kills and blocks including a solo at match point to seal the win.

ALA was scheduled to be back in action at the Southern California Invitational in Yorba Linda on March 20-21. Due to the coronavirus ALA will not be traveling out of state to compete in this event.
